This project was special to us: it was our very first client, commissioned by UwComputerStudent. A wonderful start that set the tone for the projects that followed.
Schweitzer Counseling is a coaching and meditation center with a unique Japanese approach. The founder travelled to Japan and has since been bringing Japanese life philosophy and mindset to her clients in the Netherlands.
Her approach combines personal coaching with meditation techniques, rooted in centuries-old Japanese traditions. Whether it's about finding inner peace, breaking through patterns or rediscovering balance - Schweitzer Counseling guides clients on a path of awareness and growth.
Clear layout of various coaching themes and services across multiple pages
Carefully selected images that radiate the serene Japanese atmosphere
Intuitive menu structure that effortlessly guides visitors through the offering
A soothing experience on every device, from desktop to mobile
This project brought a challenge we hadn't encountered before: processing a large amount of text.
The client delivered 10 to 15 separate Word documents , each filled with content for different pages. The first step was creating an overview.
1Read through and analyzed all 10-15 Word documents
2Categorized topics and structured them logically
3Minor grammatical adjustments for consistency
4Translated into a logical website page structure
We categorized all the topics, read through the full content and made minor grammatical adjustments where needed. We then translated this structure into logical pages within the website.
After placing all the text, however, the site looked too bare. The solution lay in visual enrichment.
Thanks to our own experience with Japan we understood exactly what atmosphere the site had to radiate. With carefully selected royalty-free photography from Unsplash and Pexels we filled the pages with beautiful Japanese imagery - from serene temples to tranquil nature scenes.
The result is a website where calm and content come together - a digital experience that breathes Japanese philosophy.
Extensive content structured
Serene visual identity
Start of our portfolio
Schweitzer Counseling now has an online presence that perfectly matches her Japanese-inspired philosophy. The website breathes calm and balance, precisely the values that are central to her coaching.
The extensive content is accessibly structured, allowing visitors to easily discover which services suit their needs. From the Japanese life philosophy page with concepts such as Wabi Sabi, Shinrin Yoku and Ikigai, to the personal method descriptions - every page contributes to the whole.
The visual layer of Japanese imagery lifts the site to a higher level and makes the browsing experience a moment of calm in itself. Cherry blossoms, serene temples, zen gardens and nature scenes - every image is carefully selected to reflect the Japanese aesthetic.
As a first project, Schweitzer Counseling marked the beginning of our path - a project we still look back on with satisfaction. It taught us how important content structuring is and how visual storytelling can lift a website to a higher level.
Let me turn your story into a clear, visually appealing website.
