The Challenge: Form and Function in Balance
With a photography website everything comes down to one thing: showing the work.
The biggest challenge was creating a viewing experience that feels like leafing through a real photo album - smooth, intuitive and without technical hurdles. The imagery had to take center stage, without navigation or other elements drawing away attention.
The Vertical Menu Solution
Full-screen viewport while retaining user-friendly functionality
Navigation present without distracting from the imagery
Smooth gallery with effortless scrolling through collections
Vertical menu - a design choice we applied for the first time
Achieving a full-screen viewport while retaining user-friendly functionality proved to be a puzzle. The navigation had to be present without distracting, the gallery had to work smoothly and visitors had to be able to scroll effortlessly through the collections.
The solution was found in a vertical menu - a design choice we applied for the first time. This approach gave the photos maximum room while the navigation stays elegantly on the side. The result is a website where form and function are perfectly in balance.

Result
Constant Fotografie now has a portfolio website that presents his work in the most impactful way. The full-screen gallery experience lets potential clients immediately see the quality and style of his photography, while the intuitive navigation ensures a pleasant browsing experience.
The vertical menu gives the site its own character and sets Constant Fotografie apart from standard photography websites. By positioning the navigation vertically, the photos get the horizontal space they deserve. It is a design choice that is both functional and visually distinctive.
The website feels like leafing through a premium photo album - an experience we look back on with pride. Visitors can effortlessly navigate through the various collections, with each image getting the attention it deserves.
